Get your saved places out of Google Maps
Google doesn't offer a way to pull your saved places automatically, but you can export them yourself with Google Takeout (Google's official data-export tool) in about 2 minutes:
- Go to
takeout.google.com(sign in with the Google account your saved places are on). - Click Deselect all, then find and check Maps (your places).
- Click the item to expand it β if it lets you choose data types, make sure Saved Places is checked (uncheck Reviews/Photos etc. if you don't want them).
- Click Next step, choose .zip, then Create export. Google emails you a download link (usually within a few minutes).
- Unzip the download. Look inside for a folder like
Takeout/Maps (your places)/Saved Places/β it contains files such asFavorites.csv,Want to go.csv, orSaved Places.json. - Drop those files below (you can select several at once).
